Check out this sweetness
I got this guy back in ’89. At the time it was such a sweet card that it rated a screw down case. I had two ’89 Score football cards in screw down cases, this guy and a Mark Rypien rookie. The good old days.
Too bad Thurman will most likely be remembered for losing his helmet during the first few plays during Super Bowl XXVI. A game that he and the Bills lost to Rypien and the ‘skins.
Thurman had a solid career. A one time MVP, 5 time pro bowler, 10000 yard club member and 4 Super Bowl appearances all paved the way to Canton. Too bad he couldn’t turn at least one of those SB appearances into a victory.
