Humble ball…

The old man of the NBA, Tim Duncan, showed the young upsater Clippers how it’s done last night.

I have no connection to the Spurs but like the run they have had over the past decade. They are in many ways the anti Lakers or Heat. A team compossed of pieces that form a championship machine versus a collection of super stars, or a team built around a single star.

Granted I feel Tim should be a star, and have even written about it. But he is a quiet unselfish player, so he doesn’t show up on ESPN very often.

The Spurs look strong and it would be great if he could bring home a 5th ring. That would tie him for most with none team by a non-Bull or Celtic. Maybe then his cards will get the push they deserve.

I don’t mind the flash of the Heat type teams, but I favor the humble working man style of a team like the Spurs.
