Chris Carlin from Upper Deck made sure to hook up you, the readers, in a big big way.

Here is what he gave me to pass on to one lucky reader.

  1. My Matt Kemp ’08 Masterpieces Auto.

  2. Well I gotta get in on this one since Prince now plays for my team! I’ll go with the background of my other blog–my quad UM auto: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/vqFoSYbTgCzbVBjVEP9EdNMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink. Thanks to you and UD for the giveaway!

  3. My favorite Upper Deck Card is a 2008 Heroes John Maine 4 color patch I got in a trade from none other then the Mojo Hand a few years back.

  4. My favorite has to be the 1996 UD V.L. Lovero Showcase insert card of Hideo Nomo.

  5. It’s gotta be one of the most iconic rookies cards ot there ever my 1989 Ken Griffey,Jr. rookie card!
I still remember pulling it from a pack, when i was in middle school, it made me the coolest kid in the class!!

  6. My favorite is the 92-93 Shaq rookie. Thanks for the contest..

  7. I have two Justin Verlander Sweet Spot autos, it’s hard to pick a favorite between them. I guess I have to say the Red-Stitch, Blue Ink auto, since I pulled it from a pack.

  8. My fave is the 1989 Nolan Ryan throwing the football. He was such a badass.

  9. My Pavel Bure Young Guns card

  10. My favorite is that Manny walk off card from I think 2008. (Too lazy to look it up)

  11. My Upper Deck Timeline autos. I have a Pedro Guerrero and Steve Sax card that are sweet!

  12. My favorite UD card is a UD Black Pride of a Nation Adam Lind rookie auto usa patch card!

  13. Definitely the 2008 UD Masterpieces Mattingly. Still working on completing all the parallels.

  14. Josh Lumpstead

    2008 masterpieces Roberto Clemente.

  15. Have to say it’s the one that started it all–the Griffey Jr. rookie from 1989. I never would have dreamed I’d pay a whole dollar for a pack of cards back then. The Griffey card was a game changer.

  16. UD may have made a lot of bad business decisions, but they made some cards and sets that were really worth collecting. My favorite is probably my Nolan Ryan autograph, because of what the auto means to me. But my favorite card that’s based on design or photography is the Rickey Henderson/Nolan Ryan SP card from 1991. It’s just a great piece of art on cardboard to commemorate a great day in baseball.

  17. My 1989 UD Kirby Puckett card that he signed for me will always be one of my favorites as a huge MN Twins fan.

  18. My favorite pulled UD card is my 2000 Hitter’s Club Rod Carew auto.

  20. I’ve got to go with the 1989 Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie Card as well. It’s one of the most iconic cards of all-time.

  21. I would have to go with most people here and say my 89 Upper Deck Griffey rookie, but close behind would be my 2001 SP Legnedary Cuts Joe DiMaggio cut signature.
