Holy Moses!

So we have crazy MJ sales all over ebay. Cards going for the price of a new car! This is all the evidence you need to understand how deep the pockets go of basketball collectors.

The strange thing is that their ferver is only reserved for a few guys.

Look at a guy like this.

Moses was a beast!

He is:
-7th all time in points scored
-5th all time in rebounds
-3 time NBA mvp
-Member of the NBASs 50 greatest all time
-12 time All Star
-4 All NBA team

No doubt he was one of the greatest. He truly dominated the late ’70s and early ’80s.

But you can go online and buy a nicely graded copy of his rookie for like $50.

I think this is one of the best looking bball rookies of all time. It’s just screams ’70s greatness. A simple design and a great action shot. Perfection!

Even more crazy you can buy a really nice auto for as low at $20.

He was a great player but he has a pretty crappy signature.

I can’t help but think that some point in the future there will be a run on ’70s basketball rookies. Guys like Moses are so undervalued. After I finish my quest for MLB HOFer rookies I think NBA ’70s rookies are next on my list.

  1. I’ve always been a fan of Moses. He’s a semi-local guy (Petersburg, VA) and a straight-to-the-pros guy, so he’s got a few interesting things going for him. If I was a big basketball collector, Moses, David Robinson, and Pete Maravich would be among those that I went after.

  2. I remember moses playing. a honest player with good spirit no doubt.
