The good the bad and the give up…
Yesterday Panini posted pictures from this years NBA rookie photoshoot.
Included were some nice on card autos of this years class.
Here is my run down on the penmenship studs and duds.
Now it isn’t the easiest to read but it looks nice and classy. It has style. It’s a great example of how a guy can create a quick to write signature that doesn’t look like Chris Johnson.
Another solid signature. I really like his “CJ”. It may not have the class of the previous auto but is a bit easier to make out.
Speaking of easy to read
Nate more so wrote his name versus signed his name.
Not as neat as Nate but still pretty good. I like his nice cursive G, who says hand writing is a dying art.
Now this one I just like
Not overly neat or readable but there is something almost stylized about it that I like.
Now the crappy on ones
Jeff looks like he is 50 in this picture.
His signature is overly simple, but by no means the worst. A little more effort and he could have a nice auto. My biggest problem is where is the “W”? I see the “J” but what is the rest of it, it looks like a backwards F or maybe an N with a line over it…
The worst by far
I say drop the #5 and use that extra time to do a little more with the name.
It’s a little better than Chris Johnson’s “CJ” but just by one letter.
These two were the only give-up autos I saw, so that’s good.
The cards are nice but I am not sure what set they are from. Hoops or Prestige maybe?
